Little Porky’s is a line of six flavors of marinades and four rubs made in Long Island. Little Porky is the creator, George Santiago, who acquired his nickname when he was born at a weight of 13.4 lbs.
“Cooking is something I’ve always had a passion for and everyone seemed to love my food.” “My friends were over every weekend. I was always cooking”. I wouldn’t give my recipes to anyone, so they asked him to bottle the secret sauce so they could use it in their own homes.
Those friends’ favorite dish was the steak he made with the marinade that would become his Original flavor once he followed his friends’ advice and put it in a bottle. “Whatever you marinate in it, it’s delicious.”
The line grew from there after retailers advised him that he needed a range of flavors to go with his Original. “I went back to the drawing board and came up with all the other flavors,” he said.
Those flavors now include Barbecue, Chimichurri, Peanut Sauce, Hot Chili Honey, Jamaican Jerk and Mango Habanero in addition to the Original. The rubs include Pork Rub, Meat Rub, Chicken Rub and Seafood Rub. “They all have a well balanced flavor,” Santiago said.
“I started marketing the product at festivals, making the food with our marinades and rubs. The smell of the food while we are grilling brought people over to us asking what is that delicious smell.
The marinades and rubs are made with fresh ingredients and natural preservatives. The marinades and rubs are truly one of a kind with absolute amazing flavor packed in one bottle.
